Dark Dark Dark
A single-use scheduler that reimagines date selection as navigating a field of stars, applying a little persuasion and delight to a mundane task.

Dark Dark Dark is a single-use scheduler. No accounts required. You just fly through the stars, set your availability, share a link, and a guest picks a time.
People have a rock-solid mental model of calendars and scheduling. It's so well-defined that I wanted to see if I could find some room to make a mundane task feel wondersome.
Education through entertainment is something that really floats my boat.

The idea arrived through a series of interaction experiments, a spectrum of abstraction from a raw, wild star field down to a working scheduling interface. A selection to explore:
- Z-Travel + Focus. True perspective. Fly forward and back through depth, and click a star to travel to it.
- Real Calendar. Anchored to real dates, with depth cues and a live wayfinding readout.
- Lens HUD. A focal circle where the familiar calendar resolves out of the wild star field.
- Zoom + Lens. Anisotropic zoom over a continuous timeline, from a day's hours out to decades.
- Scheduling. The working interface. Click stars to select hours, lasso a block, and create.
- Mobile Flip. Touch-first. Flip the card to toggle browse and select.
